Biography

Hriday is originally from Ashburn, Virginia where, after visiting the local air and space museum, he cultivated a passion for aircraft and spaceflight from a young age. He is currently studying Aerospace Engineering at Princeton University, and is interested in understanding different mediums of mobility. In the past, he has developed chassis designs for CubeSats, and launched an experiment on a weather balloon. Currently, he has been engineering a two-stage rocket with his team at Princeton SpaceShot, designing innovative moving walkways for Beltways, and collaborating with Hannah Wiswell on the wingtips project.

Research

Hriday is focusing on applying biological inspiration from hawks and eagles to improve uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) agility. Combining 3D printing and material science, he is a part of the ongoing wingtips project led by Hannah Wiswell and is working on the ground effect test rig that will change the nature of wingtip tests in the lab!
