Ophelia Bolmin named Mavis Fellow
2020 June 16

Ophelia is one of only five students to be named Mavis Future Faculty Fellows (MF3) for the academic year of 2020-21. This program supports the development of talented graduate students who aim to transition to academia in the future. Ophelia studies the biomechanics and dynamics of ultra-fast motions in biological systems. Her current work looks at the use of click beetles as a case-study organism and she investigates the physical phenomena that enable this insect to move extremely fast. Click here for more details.
