Insect Robotics and Flying Fish Projects present at SICB 2022 in Phoenix, AZ

The BAM Lab recently attended the 2022 SICB Annual Meeting in Phoenix, AZ for a series of presentations about ongoing research. BAM attendees included Professor Wissa and four students: Paul Lee, Valeria Saro-Cortes, Yuhe Cui, and Arsanious Boctor. Students all gave a short talk while Professor Wissa took the stage for an invited talk.


Paul presented his work on "An insect-inspired glider based on morphological and aerodynamic characterizations of grasshoppers".


Valeria presented her work on "The role of the pelvic fin in flying fish: an experimental study on a bioinspired flying fish".


Yuhe and Arsanious presented their work on "Designing a bioinspired flying fish tail".
